Intellectual property

Intellectual property concerns many things (the brand name, logo, artists' work,...).
It is a very controversial topic on which the French parliament has been debating for a long time. But it concerns the question of respect of intellectual property on Internet especially in the music industry. As many internet users have been downloading music through internet (peer to peer) without paying anything except their internet access. Thus, the music industry and artists' associations have been protesting against it on behalf of the protection of intellectual property. Furthemore, with the arrival of web 2.0 which is more participative and collaborative, this question will be again debated; for example in terms of collaborative writing as different people will take part in the writing of a text. And, the question of to whom belongs the text will be probably asked. Moreover as the states still don't get along on their laws regarding intellectual property, it will be propably difficult to protect it equally all over the World.
